Hosting Terms and Conditions

Migration of servers

The client acknowledges and agrees that as normal course of business, it may be necessary for P1 Hosting to migrate its servers. As a result, even if the client has a dedicated IP, the client may be assigned a different IP address. P1 Hosting does not warrant that the client will be able to consistently maintain its given IP address.

Termination of hosting

The client acknowledges and agrees that upon expiration or termination of the clients hosting services, the client must discontinue use of the hosting services and relinquish use of the IP addresses and server names assigned to the client in connection with the hosting services, including pointing the domain name system for the client’s domain name(s) away from P1 Hosting servers. Prior to termination of the hosting services, the client is responsible for backing up, migrating or saving any data they wish to retain after the hosting services have been terminated.

Free Product Credits: Any free products: including but not limited to email accounts and domains that have been provided free of charge with another product or service will be able to be purchased within 30 days of termination.

Website/Server Content

The client shall be solely responsible for providing, updating, uploading and maintaining its website or server and any and all files, pages, data, works, information and/or materials on, within, displayed, linked or transmitted to, from or through your website or server including, but not limited to, trade or service marks, images, photographs, illustrations, graphics, audio clips, video clips, email or other messages, meta tags, domain names, software and text. The client acknowledges and agrees that while providing technical assistance, P1 Hosting may need to remove, modify or alter content the client has placed on their hosted product. The client’s website or server content shall also include any registered domain names provided by the client or registered on the client’s behalf in connection with the hosting services provided by P1 Hosting.

We do not accept the use of our hosting services for the following types of websites or for hosting content that falls within or potentially could fall within:

Adult Material

Torrent, Mirror, Download Websites

Illegal websites

We reserve the right to cancel any website hosting plan; including but not limited to usage we deem could affect other clients or/and be in breach of our terms and conditions or the law. Any accounts terminated for these reasons would have 30 days to retrieve a backup except in the case of illegal material in which case this information would be passed onto the police.

Plan Limitations

All plans are limited to no more than 1,000 tables per database and no more than one gigabyte of storage per database. Any account or database that exceeds these limits may be issued a network violation warning and will be required to reduce the number of inodes, files and folders, tables or gigabytes (as the case may be), or may be temporarily or permanently suspended, in our sole discretion.

Unlimited Disk Space and Network Bandwidth

P1 Hosting provides some plans with unlimited disk space, unlimited network bandwidth or both. Our plans have been designed to host most typical personal websites, small business websites and organisational websites.

In cases where the client’s storage or bandwidth usage is higher than what P1 Hosting would classify as normal use, P1 Hosting will contact the client at the earliest oppurtunity to arrange an alternative solution such as a VPS or dedicated server.

Backup of data

P1 Hosting provides hosting clients with offsite account level backups and machine backups. P1 Hosting does not guarantee these backups are always working or are free of corruptions or errors and advises all clients should have at least one other method of backup.

Payment Options

P1 Hosting provides stripe subscriptions as the typical payment method to the client for hosting services. P1 Hosting can accept payment via Direct Debit. Clients wishing to pay via Direct Debit will need to contact P1 Hosting to arrange this.

P1 Hosting does not accept cash or cheque for payments on any hosting plans.

Service Level Agreement

P1 Hosting’s hosting plans come with a 99.9% uptime guarantee. This excludes plans advertised with a different and doesn’t include downtime caused by the client. Such as a website affected by Malware or broken script/scripts.

The Client is entitled to a credit against the Client’s monthly service cost in respect of any periods of downtime (excluding downtime due to pre-planned maintenance work notified to the Client in advance) during the calendar month according to the following scale:

99.9% (or quoted % for particular plan) to 100% – No Credit.

Below 99.9% – 10% credit entitlement.

P1 Hosting aims to resolves all issues as quickly as possible.

  1. P1 Hosting will not be responsible for any damages to the Customers business of any kind whatsoever.
  2. P1 Hosting makes no warranties of any kind, expressed or implied for services provided. This includes loss of data resulting from delays, non deliveries, wrong delivery, and any and all service interruptions caused by the Company and its employees.
